Who should I contact if I have questions?

What do I do when I receive my card?

You must sign it immediately.

As soon as you have signed your card and receive your PIN (Personal Identification Number) memorise it and then destroy the paper – never write down your PIN or disclose it to anyone else because they will then be able to use your card.


Do I have to do anything before using my card for the first time?

No, your card is activated and ready for use from the time you receive it.


Where can I use my credit card?

Your credit card can be used to:

  • pay for goods and services where a point-of-sale (POS) device is available locally or internationally and;
  • draw cash at any automated teller machine (ATM).


How do I make my payments on my credit card account?

Payments towards the card account can be made by means of an automated pay order from your CfC Stanbic Bank current or savings account.

You can also pay your card account through one of these channels:

  • Cash deposit at any CfC Stanbic Bank branch
  • Cheque deposit at any CfC Stanbic Bank branch
  • The clearance period for cheques deposited at CfC Stanbic Bank branches is four working days. Please ensure the card number is correctly indicated on the payment slip
  • Direct debit from your nominated bank account.


How will I know what my card account balance is?

You will receive a statement showing the date of transactions, where the card was used and the transaction amounts. In addition, the statement will indicate the total amount owing, minimum amount due and the payment due date. You may also call us on 20 3268 888/999 or email cardqueriesEA@stanbic.com.


What amount do I repay?

You need to repay 10% of your outstanding balance or Kes 450 whichever amount is the greater. This is the minimum repayment amount due.


What do I do if I lose my card?

You must report a lost or stolen card immediately.

We will then stop your card as soon as reasonably possible and send you a new card and PIN.
